london-based raw edges design studio (par yael mer & shay alkalay) is showing updates of their most recent project,
entitled 'coiling' at paris' fat galerie. the ehibition opening will be on november 18th and the show will run until
january 15th, 2010.

'coiling' is an experiment in coiled felt. the duo cuts long strips
of rolled wool felt and coils them
into a cone-like structure which is
meant to act as a seat.
the felt becomes both the structure and the upholstery.
the seat is
supported by wooden legs.

raw edges: deskbox for arco
a small wall-mounted desk designed for tight spaces. it can be extended outwards to reveal a larger work surface and easily retracted to form a closed, compact box when not in use.
