diamant coffin

diamant coffin

jacob jensen design set out to break the mold of traditional coffin designs by creating a contemporary version with the
danish coffin maker tommerup kister. the diamant coffin series takes design cues from diamonds, a symbol of perpetuity.
the coffin features sharp edges, much like a diamond with the highest point aligned with the heart line. organic cotton
lines the inside printed with a butterfly pattern, while the coffin itself is made from nordic birch plywood. while most
coffin use precious hardwoods, birch plywood is a more sustainable alternative. jacob jensen design also developed
a matching urn series for cremation options. while this design doesn’t completely rethink the burial process, it does
address this often overlooked area with a modern sustainable perspective.

If anyone has had to choose a coffin in their life - they will know how far perfect the available designs are....They are mostly horrid, baroque, nightmares.

This is a nice alternative.

It would be a shame to bury or burn these, whereas I wouldn't mind burning or burying a traditional coffin.
