‘mobilité = 01’ pendant, 18K white gold (10, 70 gr), enamel, blue topaz (6,50 carats) each signed and numbered

french designer matali crasset has designed three types of pendants for parisian jeweller le buisson. the series entitled ‘mobilité’ shows futuristic figurines, in a combination of white gold and gem stones. for example, the diver’s oxygen tank of ‘mobilité = 01’ is produced in a blue topaz. ‘mobilité = 02’ and ‘mobilité = 03’ are in a way a far-off homage to duchamp’s ‘roue de bicyclette’, inviting those who wear one to play with the mobile stones which are meant to be wheels.

crasset has also designed five ‘torche’ pendants. the torch setting forms the framework of the pendant, allowing the profile to be seen, but not the head the it, which is normal. an amethyst, diamond, rubellite, peridot or blue topaz gem is set within.
