'rubber table' bythomas schnur
on show as part of [D3] design talents at imm cologne 2011 is german designer thomas schnur's
'rubber table', a side table that adopts the idiosyncratic aesthetics of a plunger.
the multi-leg base uses the form and materiality of the common bathroom tool,
transferring the article to a new and unknown environment. made out of dyed foam rubber,
the furniture piece which can hold up to three kilograms, transmits and preserves the
original feel and color of the object.
