new furniture landscape for queen of hoxton by shai akram and andrew haythornthwaite

shai akram and andrew haythornthwaite of OKAY studio collective have designed and installed a new ‘panorama’ of furniture at the queen of hoxton in london. the system is a landscape of surfaces including prop bars for standing and drinking, seats and tables connected to one another by archways of scaffolding. to construct the frames, the duo used a simple box section to construct the frames of the pieces and have given the legs padded heat shrink ‘socks’ to protect them from their hard life standing on the busy bar floor.
