french designer stéphane choquet of stéphane choque design has created ‘naja’, a system of modular legs that transform any flat surface into a table. the re-interpreted objects are on currently on display at maison et objet 2011.

the formal language mixes two styles together, louis XV with industrial, first with its cast aluminum finish, then with its connection. by adapting the aesthetic but not the function of a wood working clamp, the tools become suitable legs as they secure to a flat surface. the adjustable head accommodates a range of material depths, allowing each user to create a unique look.
