berlin-based designer uli budde has developed 'balloon' in collaboration with slovenian
lighting brand veritgo bird. the table lamp, which was recently exhibited at 'interior trends'
at imm cologne 2011, takes its name from an english proverb, meaning 'do not conceal
your talents of abilities'. 

taking its form and characteristics from the typical antique oil lamp, the figurative design,
constructed from lacquered steel, generates a diffused, ambient light.
a gently contoured reflector sits on top of a cylindrical base that houses the LED light source.
the balloon shaped figure is slightly tilted to reflect and re-direct the cast light.
