coinciding with this year’s design indaba event in cape town, south africa is filmfest 2011. held from february 18th – 27th at the freeworld design centre, a selection of documentaries, feature films and live events will be on show including:

‘exit through the gift shop‘ (2010) the oscar-nominated documentary directed by bansky, telling the story of a man’s obsession with street art

‘an eye over prague‘ (2010) a film, shot over three years that documents the powerful story of the late architect jan kaplický

‘the last emperor‘ (2009) a documentary exploring the world of one of italy’s most famous men, valentino garavani

‘chico and rita‘ (2010) a jazzy animated feature film illustrated by fernando trueba and javier mariscal

‘l’amour fou’ (2010) an yves saint laurent biopic paying a grand tribute to an empire of decadence and beauty
