hat-trick: jim sutherland + gareth howat at design indaba 2011

hat-trick's branding for the sumatran orangutan society

design indaba 2011 day one - cape town, south africa: uk based designers
jim sutherland and gareth howat of hat-trick presented some humor enriched work
including a new identity and campaign for the sumatran orangutan society (sos).
the sos is a group working to aid in the conservation of sumatran orangutans and their
forest with efforts in environmental restoration, ecotourism, and environmental education.
sutherland went on to detail some personal projects and explorations like a delightful book of
photographs of objects in his father's garage arranged into faces, animals, and typographic marks.

since 1995 design indaba is one of the few global events to represent graphic design,
advertising, film, music, fashion design, industrial design, architecture, craft, visual art,
new media, publishing, broadcasting and performing arts. find out more about this year's
conference and presenters from our overview article or follow the real time conversations
on twitter with #designindaba.
