brikolör (victor alm, mathias eriksson, fredrik hansson, sami kallio) is a company that designs and manufactures
furniture based in göteborg, sweden. their most recent project is 'bågar' designed by fredrik hansson
which is an architectural storage unit that features 'arched windows', making the furniture object look
like that of a building faįade. made from varnished MDF, it comes either 2- or 4-bows wide,
and is available in several colors. the varying sections are available in three separate heights.
each unit is made by hand from certified cabinet makers in sweden.

very original!!!!!?????, it's a shame that Mussolini made a building at Rome first more than 50 years ago. A building that is spectacular piece of architecture, made it look as a mediocre piece of MDF library.

I love this, but I agree, maybe exploration of the piece in a different material is needed. Would be interesting to see a whole series of these referencing various historical buildings and lined up with one another in a house or public space.

Sorry Luis, but I distinctly remember the Palazzo della Civiltā Italiana (which I believe is the building you are talking about) being made from stone and being around 40m high. If that fascist dictator had commissioned a piece of brightly painted furniture instead, maybe the history of the world would be a little different. To call this a copy is to call yourself blind.

Well, Cilence: I guess should be quite difficult made a furniture exactly as the original palace (ironical speaking), so if that is your concern: ok it's not a copy. I don't know if you are misunderstanding my critic. It has nothing to do to any political issues that has being done. It's regarding directly to the design. Maybe the next time they can do a White House library, or any european train station wardrobe.... but if you still like the idea, I can recommend you very good set scenography to look at, and made a good furniture of it.
