'matières à chaud' is a collection of 12 unique pieces which reinterpret an essential household object - the radiator.
created by paris-based studio 5.5 designers for saazs, the series is an extension of the company's aim to reveal
through art and design, the perspectives offered by quantum glass™ active glass -
finding a practical way of encouraging a hi-tech product to communicate on an emotional level.

presented at milan design week 2011, these pieces should be considered more than just objects
which provide heat to the interior environment. 'matières à chaud' should be seen as a landscape
in which artificial materials create a certain ambient heat. a series of brackets, bases and spikes
formed to offer everyone the possibility to create a woody warmth or color.
