created for italian furniture company mattiazzi, the 'osso' collection by french designers ronan and erwan bouroullec
is a series of seating objects set to include a chair, armchair, children's chair as well as high and low stools.
each of the furniture pieces is made from wood - oak, maple or ash - of the highest quality, with the sensuality
of the natural material becoming the focus of the design. the chairs are sculpted using solar powered,
digitally controlled equipment, resulting in a high-tech assembling system.

SOLAR POWERED? FOR REAL?

"is made up of four identical panels"
simply not true, each panel is very different. 4 sets of tooling if moulded or 4 different cnc paths if milled.

just tell it like it is.

on the plus side, the legs are paired

nicey,
you're right - we've changed it.
andrea / designboom   03.30.11
Very sophisticated but quite horrible.

I think maybe this isn't best chair of r&e bourollec? Don't you?
Angel   03.30.11
the connection between the legs and seat is so nice, but the seat is so disappointing. was that really your best idea?
