designboom was recently at art paris 2011, where we had to opportunity to check
out french designer benjamin graindorge's latest work presented by YMER&MALTA.
'hiddenskin', a seating unit with an infinite number of possibilities, was presented
for the first time at the fair. a play on form, material, contrast and priori aesthetics,
the geometric objects alternate between open and closed volumes ranging in size
and shape.

designer benjamin graindorge says,
'and then, you quickly realize that hiddenskin proposes a second, sensual and
primitive perusal. by getting closer and touching it, an ultra-natural object is discovered;
its wood, leather and hyper materiality is disconcerting, highlighting the materials. where
only touch is capable of perceiving its reality.'
