'between the lines', an experimental stool by designer ophir zak, is on display at milan design week 2011
as part of thinking hands, an exhibition by the bezalel academy for art and design. looking to exercise the
idea of thinking by doing, the exhibition aims to explore the integration and combination of new ideas,
processes and materials.

simple yet sculptural in appearance, the stools are constructed from a singular sheet of perforated metal
that is then bent and set into place. a web of intersecting lines provide stability to the open design while
highlighting the curvaceous and abstract form.

would have been interesting to see someone sitting in (on?) one
