the blown lamps take everyday objects as their subject, creating illuminated renditions of the pieces in expanded scale. as with all venini pieces, the works are created in collaboration between the artists and the company’s murano glassblowers, and each is signed by studio job.

described by the designers as ‘a floating still life’, the ‘arnolfini’ chandelier assembles glass pots, vases, and candlesticks into a single candelabra. an early edition of the piece was previewed in this designboom article from milan design week 2010, but the sculpture available in the venini collection is produced not in white but instead an array of bright colours. all the works are on exhibition during milan design week 2011.
