i have to thank you again for your course, it’s truly inspired. it is just what i needed, you have pushed me into an area that i would never have gone alone. i disagree with much of what you say, but you have also provoked me to think. thank you for the most fun that i have had in design for years …feel like i’m back at school again. i think that i might have to sign up for another one. yours, christian gaze, france

i deeply appreciate your effort to make the course really valuable. i don’t think there is any other on-line course that is as great as your designboom course, for sure. thanks a lot for the great lessons. i really enjoyed the lessons that my desire to become a designer has got bigger and firmer! toshihiro aya, usa

thank you for this amazing course. edwin cheong, singapore

it was a pleasure to join your classes and although we did not talk to much it was also nice to meet you in person at the designboom dinner in april. whenever you come to holland you are welcome to visit industrial design at delft university. just let me know. all yours, rudolf wormgoor, nl

thank you for putting together this wonderful design exercise series – just wish i could have participated more. i feel like i have the foundation of some concepts that might be worth exploring further. joshua larrabee, usa

thanks again for doing the folding chair course. it was a real pleasure to slide into design research, history, etc. i just was looking again at the final projects. what talent everyone has…i am curious to see if these ever show up somewhere in the commercial world. i loved that the course participants were from all over the world. i wish i had utilized the chat more. thanks again, take care joellen schilke, usa

i’m going to re-read the texts and think about what you wrote for the future. these lessons are widely applicable. tanti saluti takahi ifuji, japan

absolutely stunning!!! 1st of all i loved scrolling thru the designs from the class. espically radu comsa, how brilliant!!!! how new and practical and exciting. i also loved the chair that folded into a flat work of wall art. you have one of the most fascinating and effective sites on the web. a big congratulations on your "the illustrated history of the folding chair". i was enrolled in the folding chair class but did not participate, except to watch, but from the very 1st lesson’s inspiration i conceived a project for my work in artists books. thanks birgit, sincerely lanene smith-aspey, usa

i’m a student currently enrolled at central saint martins (ba product year 3) in london. the lessons are very inspiring. alex ho, uk

i would like to thank you and the staff at designboom for arranging this course! it’s been fun! keith dalby, usa

i hope you’ll go ahead with this type of educational projects, gathering designers from all over the world with their different visions and identities. i want to suggest something: it would be nice to post a lesson with an exercise of regional identity. xwith characteristic and features of colombia. it could be interesting to see how each one of the participants express their nationality: turkish, japanese, hindu, mexican, german chair etc. this would be applicable for any of the topic of the future courses. i say goodbye, thanking sincerely the opportunity that i had to participate in this course. oscar riaño, colombia

thank you for bringing together a part of the international design community. laurent bourscheidt, usa

i’ve really enjoyed the class and can’t wait to see everyone’s projects. ryan moeckly, usa

i enjoyed the course very much, i’ve learned some new things along the way… though i wish it came at a time when i’m not really sucked in my work…the low assignment turnout is a real bummer, though some people can really get busy sometimes… fortunately you’re quite patient:) i would like to join the next course, please reserve a ‘seat’ for me. by the way, pls. let me know if i did ok/good/poor/whatever in this course…i like to do this thing because my work can get really damn boring sometimes! aaarrrggh! take care and all the best, stanley ruiz, philippines

i just wanted to thank you for all the obvioius thought and energy you have put into this project. it’s a very unique learning experience and i am excited to be a part of it. i’m afraid i don’t have as much time to dedicate to my assignments as i’d like (i should have also signed up for a time management course…) – but because of the way you and the designboom team have set this up, i benefit from not only my own efforts, but also from those of a varied focus, culturaly diverse collective. thanks. paige stahl, usa

must confess i have absolutely no background in the field, doing a social work. this is my second designboom course and i am happy to work with you. radu comsa, romania

glad to be enrolled. it’s therapeutic. john ford

thank you again for your support and your action (i’m not saying that because this time i had a winning entry). i believe action like yours are as important for design as the john entenza action was for architecture in the post-war united states (the case-study houses program). it just creates emulation, research, motivation, knowledge, … and believe me, your influence is already huge, all my students are fans of designboom… alain berteau, belgium
