gabriele pezzini has designed couteaux-orfevre, a new collection of knives for french silversmith and cutler puiforcat.
made with the collaboration of michelin-starred chef pierre gagnaire, this set of kitchen knives is marked by a distinctive cross on the handles,
created by contrasting materials of steel and rosewood.

including six knives, the set is developed to fulfill the technical requirements of chopping, paring, filleting, boning, slicing, and bread.
though designed first to be functional tools -- the handle's rosewood, for instance, is a dense precious hardwood particularly valued for its good resistance to water --
each knife's carefully calculated proportions ensure it is an object that both serves and seduces.
pezzini says, 'kitchen knives are generally kept hidden and here we've tried to bring out their technical beauty.'

Oh, I do so love them. Oh, I do so hope them to be affordable for those who want to actually use them for more than objects of worth and beauty.
Oh, tell me they are, tell me tell me.
Or, send me a set.
