comprised of a bundle of bamboo poles strapped together with metal bands, the 'pile isle reloaded' bench requires neither screws, nor glue.
the various colors and diameters of the 10 different types of bamboo coming from colombia, china and indonesia create
a vivid pattern. the bamboo bench 'pile isle reloaded' by german-based designer elena goray and engineer christoph tönges
has been presented at the central exhibition space of DMY berlin 2011, located in the former city airport berlin tempelhof.

jeff dah-yue shi: LED bamboo
formed of bamboo with embedded LED lights, the bamboo piece functions as a recessed luminaire in addition to being incorporated into walls as a structural component. a separate mountable lamp serves smaller spaces.
earthen school in pakistan
constructed with locally sourced clay, sand, straw and water, this school's cob and bamboo structure will be protected from earthquake and rain events.
