at this year's DMY berlin, designboom saw the presentation of 'skin collection' by dutch designer pepe heykoop.
using existing, mass-produced furniture as a base, this series is covered with leftover leather scraps which
render uniquely organic surface textures.

'the skin collection is a response to the excessive 25-30% leather waste produced by the furniture industry.
the leftover scraps are randomly covering both existing and modified furniture with a new skin.' - pepe heykoop
