table‘, created by italian industrial designer elda bellone consists of two tables overlapped in such a way that they are superimposed onto one another, capable of standing independently or as a single object. the translucent top table fits within carved cavities in the legs of the lower piece, and while the function is the same whether the table stays ‘open’, as separate pieces, or together, the transformative capacity offers distinct characters for different situations.
