peter vardai: transforming carbon armchair
'transforming carbon armchair' by peter vardai
budapest-based designer peter vardai has created 'transforming carbon armchair', which can be easily converted
between still and rocking chair configurations. the seating design features a flexible unattached seat that does not
have fixed contact with the framework, allowing it be flipped over and easily transformed.
the cradling arm rests ensure that the user may sit safely in either of the chair's arrangements. with a grey carbon
frame and red elastic seat, the versatile design can also be used comfortably for both indoor or outdoor use.

nice...... absolutely neat....

Nice concept. You may want to add a removable wear strip (thin uhmw poly or adhesive backed plastic or something) to the bottom of the curved section unless you want to rest your arm on the dirty, worn rocker bottom after conversion to regular chair. Might be nice in wood too.
Well done!
