the swiss-american art duo lang baumann (sabina lang and daniel baumann) have made over strelka bar in moscow, russia
as part of 'bistro 16', a collaborative project with fashion designers and artists that is hosted within the
strelka institute for media, architecture and design venue. their project follow's to belgian designer
sebastian wierinck's bistro 16 installation
on show during the month of july. for their make-over of the public space,
lang baumann have transformed the outdoor street and interior of the bar with their iconic, simple and ergonomic forms,
adding a burst of light and color to the environment, while also maintaining an naturalness - the streamlined forms highlighting
the architecture and mimicking the lines of the surrounding road. their flat installation continues their interest of integrating
psychedelic geometry into the most unexpected spaces and is on show until septmeber 1st, 2011.
