dutch designer bas van vraay of atelier vraay is known for his use of low energy radiators applied to the production of
limited edition furniture pieces. his latest 'hybrid barstool' is a project which continues this exploration of making functional objects
through the form of electrical heaters which was first seen in his 'I am furniture' collection which designboom covered here.
the seating piece can be plugged into the wall and warm up one's immediate surroundings.
the new barstool comes in a limited edition series of 5 in a black nickel finish and is currently on show at the
karena schuessler gallery in berlin.
