installation view of ‘vase lamps’ outside of hotel ingles by night

spanish designer JM ferrero of estudiHac has developed ‘vase lamps’ for spanish furniture manufacturer vondom. the collection of three lamps which range in height of 70, 180, and 220cm are produced via the technique of rotational molding. the pieces are acknowledged by their subtle shape and play of the sculptural texture of faceted diamonds. they employ the use of LED technology in which a remote control can be used to switch the unit on and off, as well as to program various color options; fixed with seven color options or ‘dynamic’ mode for a kaleidoscope of continuously changing hues.

presented during valencia design week 2011 at the feria hábitat valencia, a group of the ‘vase lamps’ were also installed outside of the city’s hotel ingles as part of the event’s offsite happenings.
