'sätelite' is a collection of three lamps by prague-based tomáš varga for czech lighting company brokis.
with a minimalist approach to lighting design, each fixture consists of a simple beam of light,
connected to a vertical surface. using a rotating mechanism, the user is able to change
the orientation of the elongated bulb, therefore customizing the amount and direction of the light.
the table, floor and ceiling fixtures are a reinterpretation of lamps used for industrial applications.

This is one of those projects I want to love because it is minimal and seems to be detailed very well. The problem is that the light source is just an effect. A blob of light that cannot be directed. It wouldn't matter if there were just a non-adjustible table model. But each unit is adjustible implying that the light can be directed. This seems to be just a form study independant of a functional lighting system.
