baltimore-born artist/architect drew seskunas directed a week-long workshop on interactive architecture in collaboration with
french-born graphic designer lea delion and germany-based art director brice delarue. together, 24 international students designed
and constructed 'botoxutopia', an installation comprised of 87 pieces of pyramidal geometries and motion sensor activated LEDs.
the lights are networked to two sensors which hang at either end of the installation. as the crowd expands
and contracts, there is a response through the movement of light and shadow. the structure is made of cardboard sheets
while the reflective finish comes from silver and gold emergency blankets placed on the inside. completed,
it measures 3m x 8m (10' x 26').

the workshop took place at the politecnico di milano, milan, italy, as part of the MIAW II series and shown at
the scuola di architettura e societą as part of the conference. to read designboom's article on drew seskunas' previous project
