paris-based research and design consultancy firm 5.5 designers have produced 'karpett', a ground covering in response
to flooring company tarkett and project design agency's
prompt, 'the ground upside down'.
the concept adheres to 5.5 designers'
creative aesthetic of humor, economy and simplicity. when contained, the multipurpose roll-up ground covering is a bench
with back rest detail. the work becomes a comfortable ground covering in its extended form to be used
in any way the owner sees fit.
