anika engelbrecht: bent mirror

anika engelbrecht: bent mirror

'bent' by anika engelbrecht

german designer anika engelbrecht has created 'bent', a mirror-polished stainless steel sheet that curves at the bottom, forming a shelf.
the reflective surface is usually used in prisons, public restrooms and children's toys since it is durable, malleable and shatter-proof, unlike glass.
the metal is only 1.5 mm thick and much lighter than traditional mirrors. various colors are applied to the back
to accentuate the bend in the surface.

three formats are available
