swiss design duo lovis caputo and sarah keung of kueng caputo have created the 'sand chair' series presented by salon 94
at art basel miami beach 2011. each seating object within the collection is comprised of a sand and mortar mixture.
the layers are poured in varying shapes to then be further formed by a hammer and chisel. due to their durable material composition,
these stools may function as useful and colorful furniture indoors or outside.
