dirk vander kooij: endless saloon table + rocking chair

'rocking chair' from dirk vander kooij's 'endless series'
dutch designer dirk vander kooij has further developed his 'endless' series, resulting in the production of an 'endless saloon table'
and 'rocking chair'. like the 'endless chair', the works are formed by melted pieces of recycled refrigerators.
the continuous flow of liquid plastic creates a layered, ebbless furniture collection. vander kooij plays conductor
to the CNC extruder robotic arm which precisely pours the seamless stream of repurposed refrigerator to form each work.
