japanese architecture firm and design studio nendo has developed 'shadowstand' for ELECOM. the collection consists
of stands for smartphones and slate tablets in various sizes and colors. the piece cradles the device and seems to cast a shadow
of a single flower in a vase. the presence of technology and absence of nature and authentic shadow results in a playful and useful
design.

Nice, but do we actually need them?

no we don't... just like designboom doesn't need any negative comments. you are only alowed to say something positive. they're probably sponsored by all the brands they represent!

sponsors?
no, the articles are editorials.

looking around in my flat... there is no desk or floor that hits the wall like in these sample images.

Per what "jawan' asked, he (or she?) doesn't need anything but only food, water, a bed and a toilet and some clothes.

New shoes? waste of money! Watch? I can ask people! Is that chair nice? No, I can sit on the bed.
