isn't it more convenient to fold them the other way? with the shoe soles facing each other? this way the dirty side won't mess up your clothes/backpack.

besides the dirt... folding the shoe this way creates a biohazard!

I think it's good when your real boots are wet or something, But I wont ever wear them regularly. Because it doesn't hold the foot arch and so it's totally unhealthy.

Yeah, they'd be an excellent backup pair to take on a hike. I wonder how long the zip would last? It would get clogged with dirt pretty quickly, and the exposed zip head could get easily managed. The "clip it" function more or less addresses the dirty sole issue - evidently the shoes are not designed to be placed inside bags after use.

cool design- wouldn't be able to tell they were 'zip-upable' unless someone told me, but a little gimmicky. A novel idea for the 'city camper'; person that lives in the city, considers themselves outdoorsy, but isn't in the slightest. Or the gadget freak.

Mit Ghamr, where I live is small city it just on the river Nile bank, it is not far from Cairo for the crossing take roughly one hour and quarter, about the weather in Egypt, its very fine, nice and sunny, Egypt is famous for its year round temperate weather.
