‘i like it. what is it?’ by annebet philips

dutch designer annebet philips has created a collection of brightly colored, plush, knotted lamps entitled ‘i like it. what is it?’. the series is hand-crafted from stuffed knitted fabric enveloping the electrical wire with an LED light appearing at the end of each tentacle-like lamp. the user may tie the light piece into various shapes, allowing a reformation of the work at any point. the LED light bulb does not become heated the way in which a regular light bulb does; due to the heatless aspect of the light source, the lamp may also exist as a soft, moldable object.
