amsterdam-based designer thomas eurlings has created ‘gradient wallpaper’ for the residence of the design academy eindhoven. when installed, the vertical fade makes the room appear as though the ceiling is higher and lighter, a useful optical illusion in small spaces. the motif consists of busts and keys in a graphic interpretation of the diamond shape seen in traditional tufting. the wallpaper is now available as a custom order with the possibility of different colors and fades.

‘fading mirror’ consists of a printed gradient placed between the glass and the silver reflective layer. the black and white fades create a frame for the reflected images. the mirror is 55 cm (22 inches) in diameter.
