naoto fukasawa: infobar c01 smartphone

the 'infobar c01' series, designed by naoto fukasawa for iida

designed by naoto fukasawa, the 'infobar c01' combines the form and functionality factors
of the original 2004 first-generation model and last year's touch screen device.
offered through the iida brand of carrier KDDI au, the candybar-style smartphones
feature a checkered keypad beneath a full touchscreen and a newly developed android-based
user interface.

the device measures 5.11 inches tall by 2 inches wide and under a half inch thick (130 x 52 x 12.3 mm),
at a weight of 3.7 ounces (160 grams). its 3.2-inch screen features 854 x 480 resolution; and the device
is loaded wtih an 8-megapixel CMOS camera and USB and microSDHC ports. it is bluetooth, wifi,
and infrared -compatible with an e-wallet function and digital TV tuner.

the redesigned iida interface offers increased customizability and mimics the phone's styling
with a contemporary grid layout for menus and applications.

the device is expected in japan by february 2012.

It looks way too HUGE.

nice!! I like them. also ummm ttt, the pictures are bigger than the phones, probably to show detail.
they're not that big in real life. :D

seriously though 5 x 2 x 0.5 inches is actually really close in total size to the iphone 4s: taller but thinner.
