the 'eames elephant' was initially designed in 1945 by charles and ray eames, but it never made it to mass production.
now more than half a decade later, the 'toy' stool is available for the first time in a plastic version fit for those it was
originally intended for, children. as a celebration of this occasion, the charles and ray's grandson, demetrios eames,
has collaborated with swiss furniture manufacturer vitra who produces the piece, on a video which expresses the playful nature
of the 'elephant'. the product measures 417 x 412 x 785 mm and is made from dyed polypropylene and finished with a matte surface.
