'cantilever' by yaacov kaufman



the designer yaacov kaufman displayed an exhibition of studies on the subject of the cantilever in his studio. in big
structures there is a tendency to support the cantilever from the top or the bottom. in small structures,
the elasticity of the material is often used. the exhibition portrays a variety of situations ranging from the straight
line and its inclination to yield to gravity, to an assortment of 'corrections' which creates a language of its own.
