the eastpak artist studio has invited over 130 artists, designers, musicians, personalities… to design unique customized bags to be auctioned off march 19th, 2012. all proceeds will go towards benefiting of ‘designers against aids‘ (DAA), a program that was launced in 2004 by the non-profit organization ‘beauty without irony’. its main objective is to raise awareness for HIV/AIDS and to get the subject back on the agenda of international media and amongst the public at large. DAA’s campaigns borrow elements from pop culture, targeting primarily young people in industrialized countries where the disease has of late been largely forgotten. the organization also fights for the acceptance and equal rights of seropositive people around the world.

this year’s packs have been designed by such creatives as johnny marr, marc atlan, yelle, jordan betten, richie culver… among other artists, graphic designers, product designers, DJ’s, jewelry designers, celebrity chefs…
