japanese design firm nendo has created an air purifier ‘arobo’. nendo determined that the most efficient form to enable the circulation of water within the air purifier would be achieved by designing the device in a spherical shape. the purifier harnesses the centrifugal force created by the revolving of water from the bottom component into the upper compartment, where it is then vaporized into the surrounding environment by a small fan. the water not vaporized in this process returns to the bottom compartment and the method is repeated continuously. as the motor and controls of ‘arobo’ are situated on an angle above the tank, the electrical cord is located low to the ground to create a more sleek form.
