san francisco-based builder eric harshbarger has built a three-dimensional LEGO replica of an anaesthesia machine for GE healthcare. constructed from over 30, 000 pieces, the full-scale model includes all the buttons, screens and exterior structural components of the original. although the moving parts, such as the drawer, do not function, the modular unit is structurally stable with an interior struts added for support. the sculpture was showcased at the annual meeting of the american society of anesthesiologists.
