nendo: black&black collection for K%

‘melt’ as part of the black&black collection by nendo for K% 

as the art director of new singaporean furniture brand K% japanese designer nendo has created a collection entitled ‘black&black’. comprised of furniture, accessories and lighting, the set focuses on accessibility and affordability while concentrating on the simple forms associated with pure functionality. as the name suggests, all the designs are black, eliminating any materials, techniques and colors that do not directly relate to the purpose of the objects. meant for domestic and commercial spaces, most of the collection consists of wood and metal pieces. some collaborators of the project include singapore-based design firms studio juju and exit design, each of whom contributed one item to the collection. ‘black&black’ is on show at carrozzeria on via toronto during milan design week 2012.
