combating the sea of cubicles, london-based japanese designer shin azumi has created a modular semi-encolosed environment entitled ‘cacomi’ for japanese manufacturer itoki. the system consists of multiple components including a frame, tables, and sofas of various heights. the diverse and transferable range of objects allows one to combine various pieces to form more both intimate or open working spaces depending on their needs. to incorporate the modern conveniences. and technical requirements of a working office, the parts are linked with an ICT (information communication technology) tool, allowing for conferencing between the various stations.
