italian designer francesco lucchese has created ‘enck – a ring of light’ for design lighting fixtures company fabbian illuminazione. the sleek die-cast aluminum lamp has been developed in an almost-round, natural shape to evoke that of a sea-shell, measuring 30cm wide x 22cm deep x 6cm high. ‘enck’ is formed in a slim two slot-in segments system based upon lucchese’s vision of light filtering through a nearly unseen structure rather than boundless and unrefined. the piece has been fashioned in three distinct shades including matte white, polished chrome and dull gold and is illuminated by halogen bulbs.
