italian designer william sawaya of sawaya & moroni has developed ‘fei fei’ for the company’s new 2012 collection.
composed from a single sheet of material, the chair is thermally modeled to replicate modern origami.
the form is achieved by folding in the legs so that they act as the structural membrane of the design,
embracing its organic-like stance. the chair is made of HDPE (high density polyurethane), making it 100% recyclable.
‘fei fei’ comes in two versions – either in a single colour or in two-tone that emphasizes the point where the surface meets the joint
between the rear legs and the backrest.
