‘drowning in debt’ salt and pepper shakers by sebastian errazuriz

sebastian errazuriz is a chilean born, new york-based artist who has designed ‘drowning in debt’, a set of salt and pepper shakers

that are based off the realities of being unemployed or financially insecure. the figurines metaphorically represent two working class
men that have found themselves buried under an inescapable amount of debt. the kitchenware collection reflects on the struggles
our society deals with on a daily basis. as soon as the condiments are used up, the plastic men slowly reappear, only to find
that they will be completely covered up again as soon as the containers become empty.

the salt and pepper shakers will be sold through new york-based store kikkerland.
