composed of a simple steel wire seat shell which is combined with a beech wood base, the ‘wirewood chair’ by japanese designer tatsuo kuroda, merges the typology of mid-century modernist wire chair aesthetics with that of the traditional shaker style. the wire frame is joined to the solid timber structure via holes, making it appear slightly raised, offering a light and airy appearance.
