commissioned by DuPont™ Corian® to develop their booth on the occasion of biennale interieur 2012, belgian designer xavier lust was given carte blanche to conceive a space which demonstrates the multiple capacities of the innovative material as well as showcase the newest available colours offered. leaning towards the thermoforming technique as his production means, lust has created a reception desk and bench – positioned as a central feature of the stand measuring 3,6 meters in length and produced from a single sheet of silver grey colour DuPont™ Corian®. each piece exhibits three-dimensional and fluid shapes, the reception desk seen as a round volume which looks as if it is swelling or on the verge of explosion; and the seating object whose surface generates ergonomic profiles allowing the visitor to sit with more or less nonchalance.
