designer yar rassadin's 'pantone matryoshka' nesting dolls are a contemporary twist on the
traditional art form. they draw from the pantone color matching system, gradating in color -
most vibrant to lightest - in relation to their size. he has also designed the 'ninja matryoshka'
which is based on the belief that the nesting doll arrived in russia via japanese souvenir dolls
in 1890 and is represented as a solid black matryoshka. they also have a bit of a space-age
UFO minimalist style.
