motherbrand's 'souvenir shop' just finished its second year at the gladstone hotel's annual 'come up to my room'
design event during toronto's interior design show. 'souvenir shop' is a temporary store environment where
visitors got a chance to see, touch and even buy designer canadian souvenirs. this year, shoppers won't have
to wait another year to get their hands on the souvenirs. after the event, 'souvenir shop' launched online,
making the designs available to a global audience.
motherbrand worked with a number of designers from across canada to create a collection of rare and limited
edition designs available exclusively through 'souvenir shop'. the products emphasize small batch production
using local materials and techniques to explore the potential for souvenirs to create cultural narratives.
