milan design week 2008 preview: alain berteau


faucet design for rvb 2008

belgian designer alain berteau entered a unique faucet design in designboom's 2004 'inside the bathroom'
design competition. his 'dose faucet' entry won an honorable mention in the competition for its innovative interface.
since then he developed the tap further and has now teamed up with rvb to develop it or the market. the final form
uses a sliding mechanism which allows users to adjust the water's temperature with a simple slide of their finger.
the new faucet and its matching bath fitting will both be presented this april in milan.
